By the way, great liveblogging.

1) Pipeline is a great step forward.
2) A pipeline devoted to weather? That's ridiclous.

Why not choose a pipeline for CNN International?

Thanks and I agree with your sentiment.
Though as you also sort of note, they probably should continue filling their existing pipes, first.

As you can see from the above record, the weather thing was mostly on pipe4 and occasionally jumped to pipe3. It looks like an easy, cheap time-filler and some of the animation was so-so, but as you and others have been noting up and down the dial, there are a lot better sources available.
