Ah, the warmth of that closeness, that affection, that always comes through - often just a little obliquely (Bodie's got to have a wee bit of snark to hide behind, even if it's just "that veggie muck you call soup" *g* - it makes his hesitancy, his hint of diffidence reveal so much vulnerability and tenderness) :-)))))))))))))

It's those still, pivotal moments you capture so perfectly - a quiet, ordinary-seeming moment when everything's in balance, just when they nudge the world down one path rather than another. Love it.

I doubt Doyle just happened to have the fixings all ready for Christmas dinner. He'd been thinking about this for a bit... just like Bodie had. Very sweet and cozy moment.
