Discovered in a Christmas Pud: 28th December: Stalemate Part 2

Dec 28, 2013 16:49

Hello!  Are you having a good day today?  I hope so ;)

Here's the rest of the story.  Summary from yesterday:  Bodie and Doyle are at Wholefoods on High St. Kensington.  Doyle leaves Bodie sipping coffee upstairs while he goes to shop for a loaf of bread but ends up on his knees with a knife at his throat.

What happened next... )

Phew! And thank goodness my computer is holding up (for the moment!) so I got to read it!

I must admit, I almost felt sorry for Hayden for a minute there - it's a telling touch, that her whole life had come to be centred around this moment and they couldn't remember who she was. Ah, but it's a relief to have Doyle safely rescued!

They're turning out to spend a fair bit of time in this place, aren't they - they seem to suit it here *bg* Here's hoping they'll continue to be regular customers for a long time to come ... Thank you so much for this!

I'm glad the computer behaved itself!

I was casting around for which female villain and she just seemed the right one, with that wide gaze of hers that I always thought was promising revenge somehow.

Can you tell I like Wholefoods too, even though they didn't have waffles? *g* Thank you for reading!

There is only these two who cause such mayhem in a bread aisle whilst shopping ! Trust bodie to walk off with a loaf ( that's sounds so bodie like) thank you for a wonderful part 2 x

You're most welcome! I must admit, having got Doyle into trouble in the bread aisle I wasn't quite sure how to get him out of it, for a few minutes, but it turned out okay *g*

Aaaaand - they safely tie it up, once again! Though Bodie still didn't get his waffles. (Or the carrot cake, for that matter.)

Man, the most exciting thing that ever happened in my Whole Foods was when they carried a few heirloom apple varieties from upstate New York. Obviously I'm not shopping in the right place. ;-D

This was a lot of fun - thanks for sharing!

No waffles for Bodie... well, there's still an hour or so to play with *g*

Perhaps you don't really want mayhem in the bread aisles, though?

Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for reading :)

Ah, and a nice rescue it is, too! I love "older lads" stories, especially when they get to show exactly who they once were. *g* Thank you! What a lovely post-Christmas treat.

You're welcome! I reckon they might be older but they wouldn't have lost many of their skills.

Thanks! I worried about poor Doyle but now I know Bodie helped get him out of trouble, and snagged some fresh bread along the way. :) Thanks!

Well - you always knew Bodie would save him, didn't you? And snagging the bread seemed Bodie-ish, somehow *g* Thanks for reading!
