I want to gather Epiphany, Bodie and Doyle up and hug them tight. What a lovely, happy story. I knew even before the baby was described that she had to be mixed shades of brown. I'd love to visit this universe again! I am sure Miss Epiphany will be a trial to them all of her joyful life.

I forgot to add that it tickled me that she was eight months old at Christmas--just like my girl was.

Thank you, Dawn. I think at the back of my mind I was sort of thinking of your girl as the idea developed.

I've got an idea percolating for a longer story about the last few months of Avril's life, and how Bodie and Doyle end up with Epiphany. Maybe next year?

I want to know more about Epiphany and company, yes!

Her name tickled me all day and I kept having to explain to friends why I'd kind of giggle. Of course no one knew 'fanny' was a dirty word in British and then I'd have to explain--and giggle again. This story stayed with me!

This was lovely, thank you - moving and poignant and funny, especially the hand-holding getting into the pool *g*

Thank you. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I can easily picture Doyle getting fiercely possessive in his old age.

And that's where hiding the trailers away works, because I might have put reading this off if I'd read your kidfic warning (about which - heeee!) But I didn't, and I read it for what it was, and very nice too - thank you! *g*

Thank you! I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

A lot of people across fandoms *really* don't like kidfics, so I thought I'd give readers a heads-up.

That was lovely - you had them being them, in spite of the years and the baby, they were still totally recognisable. I really enjoyed it, ta muchly.

Thank you! I'm really pleased it worked for you, because kids are hard to write. There's always the temptation to make them too precocious, or to idealize the adults.

Ah, absolutely lovely, V! Hee to Epiphany's similarities with Bodie - happy if clean and fed, babbling to anyone who pays attention :) Really nicely done and full of emotion. Thanks for this, I really enjoyed it!

Thank you. I like to think that's Bodie's real personality, before all the hard knocks of life kicked in. I'm very pleased you enjoyed it.
