I saw this as early partnership - Bodie being all 'front', in particular.

Yeh, I saw that too... but never Bodie intimated an awareness of their partner's personality traits, so they were still at the stage of being shocked when one or other acted out of character.

It amazes me how complex drabbles really are. *g*

I love how a seemingly mundane moment reaches back into the past. And the "minting" of their partnership is a great word choice for this piece.

Thank you! 'Newly minted' was practically the last phrase I wrote - I had about 5 words - too many - saying much the same thing, and then the 'penny' dropped (sorry).

I was saving this one... and worth it too, twas lovely! I love Bodie touching his past like that... (but d'you know I've never heard of the Flying Angel, even though I've come across seaman's missions before - how odd... so thank you for that too!)
