Believe me, it was weird trying to get them to do it*g* Glad it worked and you enjoyed it. And thanks for reading:D
It's been cooler here today, thank goodness. Yesterday was the pits, and so was the weekend. It was easy enough to write about the heat when the sweat was dripping off my nose!
Stone the crows! That was a good read. “There’s movement at the station,” Bodie said, Of all the "ocker" slang you've used, this was the one thing that I could actually imagine Bodie saying. Well done!
..like Leonard Teale (remember him?) Homicide! And there we have our Pros connection - George Mallaby who had a small role in Long Shot as an army driver was also in Homicide for years.
Good heavens, I didn't realise George Mallaby was in Long Shot! What a connection! I'm going to have to watch that again (not that I really need an excuse;)) And Homicide, yes! Brings back ancient memories. I was trying to remember exactly how they talked in that when I was writing the fic*g*
Struth cobber, Oi liked this! I could really imagine the lads sounding Ausssie, especially Bodie with his 'mate' this and 'mate' that. And I've learnt something: I'd always thought it was just the English who were referred to as 'pommy' (bastards) but it's Brits in general. Nice one.
