Good Morning everyone

You've got me today, and my prompt was a snowman.  This is what I came up with, hope you like it:

This is lovely - a little sad, but with such a positive feeling of starting the next stage of their lives together.

I trust they will soon get Duchess walking properly on the lead *g* - bet Cowley never let her pull him all over the shop!

Thank you so much for posting this!

Aw, thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it. I'm more of a cat-person than a dog-person, so the lads are definitely on their own when it comes to training Duchess properly!

Oh, wonderful! Love the artwork. Love Doyle's comment about making chutney: the perfect shorthand for everything he lists afterwards!

I can hear this conversation so clearly.

Thank you very much. I can definitely see Doyle pottering around making jars and jars of chutney in his (long and happy) retirement. :D I'm glad you liked it, thank you. :D

I really enjoyed this. A very nice look at older lads and the prospect of their 'twenty years' worth'. Thanks for such a delightful read:)

Thank you, I'm really pleased you liked it, and thanks for commenting. :D And yes, in my head the lads will definitely get at least 20 years of happy and slightly naughty retirement. :D

It's nice to think that Cowley lived not only long enough to retire, but had some time to actually enjoy it.

A lovely, poignant piece, thanks.

Thank you. :D I did feel a bit bad writing about Cowley's death, but I wanted to make sure he had a good long retirement (and a dog) before he went to the big CI5 office in the sky. I'm glad you liked it, thanks.
