Actually, this bit turned into the story I wrote for the DIALJ "When We First Met Challenge" http://discoveredinalj.livejournal.com/204858.html. It's weird how the mind works... and I couldn't bring myself to write a true death fic.

I think I must be feeling very fragile this morning because the whole, beautiful scene shown here really got to me...lovely writing, a great idea and a beautiful ending.
