I really enjoy exploring their back stories, especially Bodie's; we're given such tiny glimpses in canon, and it's a feast that's there for the taking! Thanks for commenting and enjoying.

Nice, evocative glimpses of Bodie's life. And I love that glimpse of Bodie in DIAG. I've often speculated about what he's thinking, when we see him after the call, and I think you've captured it very well. Also love the bit about Doyle's strength...and Bodie still underestimating it! *g*

Thanks! I was a bit wary of using DiaG - it's been so thoroughly explored already - but I was looking for a canon moment that would serve as an emotional link through for Bodie, and continue the ongoing 'red' theme, and it just fit so well it was irresistible! I'm pleased you felt it worked. :)

Lovely backstory-snapshots of what makes up our Bodie. Love how you threaded scarlet right the way through, and the line about the red dress being white was an amazing little detail which just wrenched the reader that little bit more.

I like that someone picked up that reference, although time-wise it doesn't work at all, of course. It was that idea of the man with the gun protecting the pipers that fed into that particular snippet.
