Next Wednesday will mark the passing of another year since I first poked my head into the world, and I've recently spent a lot of time forgetting about this fine event. Unconsciously, that is. Maybe next week I'll be hit with some sort of realization about why I wanted to forget about this birthday, but for now -- eh. I've been calling myself 25 in

I wanted to note that its rather strange that reading your recap of the past 3 years makes me feel old for remembering those things, despite the fact that you are four years older than i. It is nice to think, however, that this time next year, i will have taken my last literature final.
What thai food has mango's in it? i only ever have pad thai and fried rice, i am a wimp.

I start feeling old when I think about having over seven years of my life chronicled in online journal form, and something like eighteen chronicled in paper journal form. The years have, literally, started stacking up.
The mango thing is a very simple snack: it's just fresh mango slices atop a bed of sticky white rice that has been mixed with coconut milk. I first bought it from a decidedly non-gourmet snack bar in Thailand, and I was instantly hooked. It is absolutely delicious!
(Though we're even because I've never had pad Thai. I need to find a vegetarian version of it so I can try it! Usually I go with green curry or red curry when I get Thai food, though tonight I had a basil stir-fry at the Thai place and it was really tasty.)

Mine's coming up too this month... ack.
Speaking of close birthdays, reminds me of a guy I used to see... his bday is two days before mine thus he would forget mine. it was frustrating at the time since I never forgot his. eh.
I'd have troubles writing at such an early hour.. I'm more a night owl... if I'm writing at 5am, it's 'cause I didn't go to bed yet ;D
..which reminds me; I should start writing on actual paper again. it's been way too long since I even wrote a dream down in the dream journal! I've just been using my lj for all that stuff.

I sometimes forget that paper is available for writing on, too. I go through phases in which my paper journal doesn't exist to me, but then I'll rediscover it and begin writing in it in ten-page spurts. One day my writing behavior won't be so erratic... I hope.
I'm impressed that you write down most of your dreams, by the way. I used to work really hard at doing that, but in the past year or two it's fallen by the wayside. I tend to write my dreams down in excruciating detail, and it becomes a long, long process, and of course I get distracted or busy or just lose interest. I'd really like to get back into writing them down (at least the main points of them) and doing some bare-bones dream analysis.
