Houseguests

My roomate and I have a strict policy as far as houseguests go. No more than three nights for non-family members and no more than a week for family.

How do you feel about houseguests? Do you have any special circumstances/rules they must follow?

that is an excellent policy. I had houseguests for a week and while I love my friends I was SO ready for them to leave at the end. Also my place is super tiny.

I hid my fancy shampoo, that was my only special circumstance. And I made sure I had plenty of towels, I actually borrowed some, and cleared space so that everyone had a place to hang theirs up. I hate when you visit someone and you have to put yours in a dumb place

i am the queen of houseguests- mainly because i've lived primarily on my own in decent sized apartments since i've been 17.

i have a temporary (paying) roommate, even though i swore i would never do that again. he's on his 4th month now. this week i finally started hiding the laundry detergent and toilet paper in hope that he will finally buy some. and i stopped cleaning the bathroom. i'm sick of being the maid.

oh, regarding houseguests- if they're here for longer than two days, i make them bring their own towel.
