I don't know anything about events involving your last hard drive, but I do know that you can run Linux without spending your days compiling toys.

I just happen to be horribly impatient... I tend to insist on the *latest* version of things, before it's even released, and I like new toys that aren't even to 1.0 yet. If I waited for them to be released that would be simpler. But do I ever let anything be simple?
