A few days back, Yorda made her usual report about the greenhouse. Things died during the gas event, but some plants had enough to make it through wilted, but otherwise fine. She's also begun to plant all the new seeds from Discomas, and in case of another gas explosion she's been giving them her 'light' to make them able to endure the rather harsh conditions.
This time, however, she has gone a bit overboard and it seems the greenhouse has yielded an early crop in the few days she's been gone whacking monsters.
Well, there's nothing like a bit of fresh produce after a long few days of chaos, but like with any good fairy tale (and Yorda's right out of one) things that seem too good to be true usually are.
Places where baskets will be delivered:
Marshall Street Apartments (lobby)
Latimer Street Apartments (lobby)
Hortane Lane Apartments (lobby)
Gohl House (in the kitchen)
Mariner High School (one in the clinic, another in the main office)
The Police Station (right inside the door, hanging on the handle. She won't go inside.)
List of what will be in the basket:
Apples (small, about the size of a child's fist)
Brown Pears (again, they're small.)
Potatoes (boil 'em, mash 'em, cook 'em in a stew)
Tomatoes
Spinach
Pea pods
Bitter grapes
Turnips
Carrots

Now, this may not seem very unusual. After all, every time the greenhouse gets a bit of food it usually gets distributed.
But this time there are two very odd things about it. First of all, it tastes pretty over-ripe. Not rotten or moldy, but the food will have a very strong taste. In the case of the fruit, it may taste overly sweet or even like it's beginning to ferment. But it's food right? Free, and sure as hell a lot better than god-only-knows-how-old stuff that's been preserved.
The second strange thing is if a seed or pit is cut, it will emit a flash of white light that will quickly dissipate. Nothing harmful, but it may seem odd that you're getting a little light show while slicing up apples.

Side effects of eating magic fruit:
This is where it begins to get a bit more than just odd. People who eat the produce may find that a little bit after, they're catching glimpses of familiar things out the corner of their eye. People, things, shadows, never anything concrete, but there is always a sense of familiarity about them. These are things your character will know, either from dreams or memories.
When they go to sleep, they will have a long, dreamless sleep.
When they wake tomorrow (March 1st) they will continue to see these strange flickers of memory until I post Part 2 of the event (which should be around 11:30 am EST)
