The Mini-Mini event~ And return of everyones favorite pirate~
I LIVE! With the holidays drawing to a close I will be making my triumphant return, slowly but surely. For now, I'm going to be updating my status to a slowatus so I have a chance to catch up with everything OMG. Obligatory gifting post will be had eventually because Ace would have done holiday shit for people. God knows he's been scavenging all this time he would have found something. Feel free to assume he got you something if he's close to you. IM me for details.
WELL. You're all probably wondering, "ACE WHAT THE EFF IS THE MINI-MINI EVENT HUH!?"
Our lovely Christmas gifts wield fruit right? And since Ace is a good boy and takes care of things like the responsible adult that he is, his plant will grow into something very few people have seen in his world.
A Devils Fruit tree.
Yes, you heard me. Discedo will have a chance to have a select few granted devils fruit powers, like Ace here with his mera mera abilities (*hint hint). It will only bare 12 fruit, so just like in cannon, they will be rare-ish.

The powers can be anything and most fruit go unidentified. The fruits themselves are odd looking and all of them have swirl patterns all over them. They give off a weird aura, which can sometimes help with identification of the type. But most of all? They taste like shit, well, not literally shit but... they describe the taste as being absolutely disgusting. Most people can barely get the first bite down, but luckily that's all you need. Heck, you could even consume a small part of the peel and get the effect needed.
Generally the fruits are larger than a grapefruit, these however are going to be about the size of a peach and come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
The powers are as follows:
Logia: Ace is a logia user. In short, these are your elemental types. Fire, water, air, earth, lightning, ice, sand and smoke are some seen, to give you ideas. These are the rarest and strongest of the three types. Due to Ace and Enel being in Discedo the Fire and Lightning fruits are not available for consumption.
Zoan: Are the transformation types. Chopper is a Zoan fruit user. Basically the person who consumes this fruit will have three forms, human, animal and a hybrid of the two. This increases their physical abilities and senses based on their animal type but is basically used to gain different advantages depending on their situation. Examples are wolf, giraffe, phoenix. Because yes, even prehistoric and mythical creatures do exist. Ace's good buddy Marco is the phoenix zoan type~
Paramecia: Luffy is the most well known of the Paramecia with his rubber abilities. These fruit are the most common and often the most bizarre. Everything else pretty much falls under this category. The powers given generally make the user super human. They can generate or manipulate substances like wax or explosive excrement. Or they could affect attributes in themselves or the area around them, for instance, Whitebeard can literally shatter reality or break things with just a touch. Bon clay has the ability physically to turn into who ever he touches.
"The Paramecia type is the only group containing powers or special traits that may be considered 'useless' to the user, granting little or no real advantage whatsoever. Paramecia types are also considered the easiest to battle, since they can be predictable and often display their full abilities within a very short period of time." (quoted from the wiki linked above.)
Examples of each type are listed at the bottom of the wiki articles I've listed. Feel free to use existing ones. (Other than fire, lightning or human fruits)
As stated above, there can never be two of the same fruit already in existence. Though Ace and Enel both have their chips, they technically still are fruit users, their powers are just suppressed. Also, by legend a person should not be able to eat two devils fruits or suffer dire consequences.
--->Since these fruit do not pack the full punch, I will allow one other person to volunteer to eat TWO fruit. IF you choose to do this you will NOT gain any powers. All you will get for being greedy is a stomach ache :|
I'm giving 5 of the paramecia types out since you can kind of do just about anything with them. 3 Zoan and 2 Logia.
The catch here is that the powers will only last 24 hours, so get your fill while you can!
The second catch? Is that you will become a hammer just like in cannon. Basically, you can't swim. Taking a shower, standing out in the rain and things like that won't hurt you, but say, submerging yourself in a tub or jumping into the lake would be a bad idea. You CAN and will drown.You are paralyzed in water. Also, you will be weakened by your natural opposite (Mostly for Logia types).
This will override the chip for the 24 hour span.
How are these getting to our lovely volunteers? Why our good friend Popple is going to steal the fruits right off the tree. In about a week from now I'll be making a post with Ace to catch his eye. What will then happen is they will one way or another be lost along the way and will be found by our volunteers! Simple No?
Popple-mun gets first choice of fruit for helping me out with this detail. So I need 10 lovely volunteers (9 with powers, one with a stomach ache)
SO Keep an eye on Ace's journal. I will mark the start of the event sometime after New Years!!
