There was the noise of the monster, as well as the drizzle of the rain. Small plunks of burning water, and the beast's hands lightly going across the ground.

There was a more sudden, rapid sound coming. Footsteps, kicking the water up on the ground, splashing it all back against a thick outer coating.

Another noise. The beast growling, coiling up, a roar-

BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM.

whump.

More footsteps in the rain.

Then a few solid THMPs, making sure the damn thing was dead.

One more noise. The door creaking open.

"Dr. Cuddy?" Said the woman wrapped in many layers. Had to prevent the burn, after all.

She had to shield her eyes with one bloodied hand for a moment against the light coming in, wincing more as she heard the sound of the gunshots. Or that could be the pain, but either way, she craned her neck upward at the woman who had just appeared before her.

Was this their version of an angel? Because Cuddy was sure she had to be dead at this point. Blood painted the floor, and it just would not stop coming out, no matter what she did to try to stop it.

No, it was more an angel of mercy it seemed, as the woman said her name. Thank god, someone had come to save her after all.

"That's...m-me," she said softly, trying to catch a breath and failing miserably, as the pain just seemed to get worse the more she breathed. Her vision was starting to go dark again, and she could only see the woman partly.

"Shit." That was a lot of bloodloss. She ran towards her, quickly popping off her coat, and swinging around a first aid kit that had been strapped to her back. She popped it open promptly, going for disinfectant and the bandages first. She had to stop the bloodloss, but preventing a future infection was important too.

Working hurriedly, Cybil rubbed the cuts down with the disinfectant, and pulled off a thick roll of the bandages, shifting and moving Cuddy's clothes when needed to tie it around. Once around wouldn't be enough - wrapped it around a second time...

She winced as the cuts and gouges were rubbed down with the disinfectant, but at this point, it was just a motion. Her body was so numbed to the pain that she barely even felt it--it was just another added addition. That was not a good sign, as her face was pale and white where flecks of blood had not landed, showing signs of extreme blood loss.

She worked to keep her eyes open as she was shifted around, the white of the bandages becoming darkened with her blood quickly enough with a once around, and even with a twice around. A third time had spots of blood appear, but it was tight enough that it was starting to die down.

She was lucky that this woman had appeared. Moments later, and Cuddy would not have known what to do anymore to save herself. Still, she could barely move, could barely breathe, her breathing coming out ragged and harsh.
