Okay, so the lights were dimming down everywhere she looked and Popura wasn't feeling comfortable. Even the most isolated neighborhoods of Tokyo had bright patches lining up the streets at night, hussle and bussle sounding in the horizon. But Spero was quiet, dead quiet and dark and the only possible sound was the gentle rocking of the waves in the distance.

She swallowed nervously and continued to move forward, clutching Sunao's hand until they reached a large building. It wasn't...pretty but it looked safe enough and the rooms were a little lit! Popura wondered just how many people were taking shelter here.

Finally, Sunao's room. Peeking inside, she spotted some sofas and something that seemed to look like...drawings? A cozy little place. Simple from what the dim light of the candlelight touched, but Popura couldn't have asked for something better. Besides, nothing a little cleaning couldn't do!

"Ah, Sunao-san! You don't have to wake her up! Maybe I'll be able to talk to Hikari-chan in the morning?"

Hikari wasn't asleep. For a small child, she actually didn't rest as much as one would think she should, but it seem to affect her too badly. And although she was tired and did want to sleep, she wanted to wait for Sunao to return, just to be safe. As long as they were there, away from the little comfort she had at her 'home' in Discedo, she rested more easily knowing Sunao was at least in the room.

She had been occupying herself by messing with her whistle again. Soft toots, just to fight the lonely silence that had fallen over the room, but she had stopped upon hearing sounds approach the door. Was it Sunao? It was, right? She stayed curled up on her bed, snuggling her teddy bear, waiting until she heard that familiar voice. Hikari turned her head, letting her whistle fall as wide ruby eyes stared at the two warmly.

"You came back late tonight," she remarked, but she was smiling. Her eyes caught sight of the new person and she sat up. Another new friend? Hikari liked the sound of that. "And you brought someone... Hello!"

Sunao didn't exactly make the greatest 'stern lectures and bedtime,' older sibling parent thing. She made sure Hikari was alright, but the little girl had a kind of independent spirit. Besides, Sunao grew up in a similar way and it really didn't occur to her to do otherwise.

"Ah... it's ok, I'm pretty sure she's still up. Go ahead and come in though. You're welcome to sit down."

Sunao heard the whistles pretty much right away and smiled, then headed over to where Hikari could see here. "Sorry I'm back late, Hikari-chan. I had to purify water for a few people."

Okay a lot of people.

"And then I found someone new. This is Taneshima Popura-san. If it's okay, she's going to be staying with us. And this is Hikari-chan."

She ruffled her little sister's hair a bit. "I hope you two will be friends."

"Ah, thank you very much!" Popura exclaimed, as she moved in carefully inside the room and waited eagerly for the child to say hello. A whistle was heard immediately after and she turned her head to see a little girl curled up in her bed with a teddy bear, eyes open wide.

"Uwaaaah, she's so cute!" Popura skipped over to where Hikari was sitting and crouched down next to the bed. "It's good to meet you, Hikari-chan! My name is Popura and if you don't mind I'm going to be staying over with you guys!"

She continued staring at the small child as she smiled. Just...so cute. She had never thought what I'd be like to have a little sister but maybe this would be her chance!
