He will show you the way, Edward Norton.

America lifted a hand and waved, scarfing down the rest of his food quickly. Probably not the most graceful and dignified entrance to make, but since when had either of those things ever concerned America. Note the lack of question mark.

He scratched his chin with a gloved hand, glancing around the field. No way to tell if there were others lying in wait for him. When America finally looked at Japan, a slew of possible phrases popped into his mind. Many cocky, others taunting, some poignant, a few steeped in anger and hurt, all of them wanting to tumble out at once. At Japan's sigh, he grins slightly.

"Yeesh, do you always have to act like there's a stick up your ass? Passive aggressive is one thing, but you just look flat-out unhappy. And I have a feeling that doesn't entirely have to do with me, right ( ... )

Fuck the world. That is America's general sentiment right now.

"But," he says, "it's not the same. I'm gonna drink myself into a blackout that rivaled Japan's this time."

His lips twitch a bit. America's only staring at England now. The only other person to remember what happened afterward. "I'm not hurting any cities or anything. Circumstances are different! It's just us, and I'm just reminding him that our bodies and hearts are still human. So, you know, it kinda hurts when you're friend literally stabs you in the back. Besides, he didn't even show remorse when I first showed up..."

Anger flashes briefly across Japan's face at hearing those words--anger, guilt, sadness, things he doesn't want to deal with. As quickly as it appears, it's gone, once again replaced with blankness.

"That's right. That's why you marked me as such, right?"

Smiling right fucking back at you, creep.

England could facepalm right now. He moves forward, right until he's nearly standing over them.

"Japan; shut up. If you don't want to be viewed as something less than what you are then pick your actions and responses to things more carefully. America, the bloody same could be fucking applied to you right now. This won't view you to other people as someone not to mess with, it'll show you as a fucking monster to be taken down. Right like you're attempting to bloody do with Japan."

He facepalms.

"'Stabs you in the back'? Then you know how it feels, don't you? Bloody hell, America, how are the crcmstances different? You're attempting to hurt him back in revenge and to teach him a lesson and to put things to an end. How is it different, tell me?"

"Both are you are fucking idiots, do you bloody know that?"

Though his eyes narrow just slightly at the comments going around, Japan turns his attention to his leg for now. Though he wants to stare at the burns America caused, he can do that later, without giving America the satisfaction. The bullet wound could be dealt with, so he didn't mind staring at it. Thinking.

Was England actually scolding him? How irritating. Why was it that westerners always seemed to think they had the answer to everything without understanding the problem. (...Yes he honestly thinks like that. GOSH YOU WESTERNERS.)

Anyway Japan is silent. Could they just leave already? He'd fight back if England didn't walk in on a moment like this. Doing so now would just cause more issues, so he'd wait. But he just wanted them to leave...
