Summary: There is this boat. A bunch of people from Discedo got ONTO this said boat (maybe there is even 2 boats. I'm not sure) and now they're sailing to Spero. What will come of these strange people and their strange floating device? Only

After being stuck under desk for days thanks to the weather, Cube decides to scope things out above, wearing a dusk mask just in case. He eventually decides to settle and sit above, placing the recorders around him to prevent any thought fish, and then writing things down in a green notebook.

What might be more noticeable is a rather large hovering red umbrella that is following him around. it even struggles with the gusts of wind from time to time but always catches up to the little demon. When Cube settles, it does too, and proudly protects the demon from the sun...

... actually, it might be the only shade on the open deck.

Unlike Cube, Gakupo was enjoying the sun. It wasn't all that great to be low on energy like before, so he's recharging outside while strumming his shamisen. He did spot Cube, and his red canopy. Was that a face mask?

"Ah, Cube-san!" He waved lightly to him before standing from where he was sitting on the deck. "Do you need assistance?"

Cube was so used to always having an umbrella about due to Flandre being near by that he hadn't even realized how he didn't need it since she couldn't surface above deck.

Yes, it was a face mask and Cube pays it no attention and speaks right through it as he looks up and waves back with a smile. "No, but thank you. I'm simply sorting the information I have in regards to the other passengers. How are you fairing today, Gakupo-san?"

"I'm well, thank you!" Considering they escaped a harsh fate back in Discedo, yes, he was well. "Is the air that bad for you?" Gakupo didn't need to breathe, so he's not sure if the air is bad for the others or not.

[ Kotomi isn't quite sure about going out on the deck yet - with all the scary acid rain and ash clouds it didn't really seem like a safe place to be before all of this, and she isn't quite a person to go outside a lot in the first place.

So instead you might find a girl sitting inside the boat, staring intensely at a goldfish bowl which she is holding with both her hands and the tiny goldfish swimming around in it. She seems a little bit out of it, as if she's daydreaming. ]

[Tatsumi crouches next to the girl, smiling and then looking at the fish.]

Ya brought a fish with ya?

[ It still takes a moment before she notices him, apparently even more daydreaming than usually. But when she does, she gives him a tiny nod and smiles a little. ]

Tatsumi-san.. Hmm, this is my friend. I thought he might get sad and lonely if I left him behind all alone..

[He can't honestly tell since he has been cooped up away from everyone and everything for a month... but he is reminded at how Kotomi can be and that only widens his smile.]

Ya! He might have gotten bad radiation and mutated into a horrible monster if you left him behind! It's good ya brought him with ya!!

[ You know who absolutely hated that acid rain? Jack did, an awful lot. It gave him the worst sort of feeling, though he'd tell you now it wasn't much of anything.

But now he's standing on the very edge of the boat- don't worry, his balance is fine, he's not gonna fall out unless you push him. Which you might. He's a bit lost in thought, but somebody should come over and tell him to shake the ash out of his hair- it's grayer than usual. ]

Vriska had been trying to stay below deck for a few days, mostly at the urging of the others, due to the acid rain and ashes. But now that that was over for the most part, she was totally ready to go out and play out some scenes in her head, ala Marquise Spinneret Mindfang.
If you look carefully, you'll see she's avoiding the edges of the boat, but other than that, she looks exited to be here. Or as excited as one could be when trying to escape whatever the hell had come to Discedo.

[It would be painfully obvious to most people that for the portions of the trip where Vriska is above deck, Tavros would "inconspicuously" wheel himself away to the opposite side of the boat.]

[Below deck today, as there has been most days, is a grumbling thing.

Flandre can't move from this box. But she can peek over the edge! Which she's doing. Right now. Possibly at whoever is in range, but just as probably aimlessly into space.

Someone hates water. Unless it's ice! Which would be awesome. But water by itself was bad and acid rain was worse.]
