Danny phases through the wall and waves at Sam with a tired expression on his face. Also, there may or may not have been twigs and small icicles in his hair. He was a city kid, okay? The whole training in the forest thing did not come easily.

She is on her feet in a moment, panicked at first when he phases through the wall -- she wasn't expecting him to come home, not right then, and her expression cycles through relieved and angry.

"Danny."

Yeah, she's settled on irritation.

Danny cringes a little. He knew that expression.

"So nice of you to come back."

And she focuses on the cards then, thumping one down on top of the other.

"Starting to think you'd left for good."
