The sudden explosion of fire made Luke jump right out of his seat! He didn't understand exactly what was going on, and again the explosion went off, he hurried towards the window.
"Uwa... fireworks?"
He looked inside a moment, wondering if the professor was home or asleep--asleep he'd wake up to see the ruckus.... but... he felt curious. He looked back up at the sky, and finally... climbed out the first floor window, and rushed into the middle of Latimir Street. He looked straight up, and gazed upwards, his eyes filling with wonder.

This particular dog is outside as soon as the fireworks go off. Most animals run from explosions, but not this one. He bounces around happily at the sights and sounds. A shower of green explodes right above his head, and he stops for a moment, staring up at the sparks in awe - and feeling oddly homesick.

When Shiori heard that there were going to be fireworks, she just had to try to get Naruse to come to them. Even if it might have very well led to the same thing happening with Naruse ditching her until the very last moment. But, then again, she did understand that he was a busy person, and perhaps he was just as busy here in Discedo like he was in Japan.
Nevertheless, Shiori had a bright smile on her face by watching the fireworks go off. Something about them was just magical, and made her feel like a little child again. Perhaps Naruse would feel like that, too, if he saw them? It would be nice to see him smile again, even if it was just once.
For now, she settled by watching them all go off, dressed in the kimono she arrived in.
Chidori was walking the streets when the fireworks first streaked across the sky; hands holding her sketchbook, as always, she paused in her steps as the red bursts of light caught her eye. She debated if it was worth sketching them--they went by so quick, after all, so fleetingly. She'd miss them if she kept looking down at her sketching pad. And then how could she draw them properly? Maybe it was best to watch, for once, keeping her hands at her sides.
She turned, spotting a girl in a kimono nearby. The other seemed so taken by the display, expression as bright as the now multicolor lights that jumped wildly across the sky. Chidori tilted her head. "A kimono? Are you celebrating?" It seemed strange, to celebrate anything here--but perhaps it was comforting, for some people.
