Gaz had been wandering the church like she always did. The building had so many place she could hide from people that she practically lived here. But today there was something new.

There were people here. She hated people.

Ominous footsteps echoed around her as she entered the sanctuary. The purple haired nine year old spotted the teenager sleeping on the pew and headed towards him. She ignored the stuff with him. She stood in front of him for a few moment, golden eyes narrowed slightly before she reached out and poked him.

"Who are you."

[ooc:hope you dont mind ^^; Gaz is always around.]

Giovanni stepped out of the shadows at the blank-faced and almost harsh sounding tone of the girl's question. He could have mistaken her for a boy except that after having four children of his own he was fairly good at telling them apart at any age. He frowned at her blunt manner but he wouldn't hurt a child.

"Leave him be."

She turned to the new person and regarded him silently. Another new person? She hoped they would leave soon as she turned back to the teen on the pew.

"Who are you and who is he."

Alessandro turned and groaned a bit at the touch, but did not seem to wake. He was exhausted, and a part of him was trying to keep the thought of all these horrible things away, you didn't have to deal with such things when you slept. So instead, he curled up a bit, burring his head against the back of the pew.

(OCC: It's fine! I figured other people hang out at the church, so it made sense. Though, he won't be waking up till Caterina gets there.)

Caterina had hurried to the church building as soon as Abel had informed her that her younger brother was there. She'd been a bit upset that she had been the last to know, and also concerned about what Archbishop Maxwell's reaction to the young Pope might have been, considering the impression she had gotten of his opinion of a female cardinal--never mind that he'd been nothing but polite to her face. It was the shock in his tone, and what he left unsaid. Almost as if he were trying to hard to be gracious.

But that was not her main concern at the moment. Her main concern was being there when Alessandro awoke. So she had hurried to the church and slipped inside, offering a quiet prayer as she made her way toward the sleeping figure. She was quiet, yes, and seemingly tranquil--but heaven help anyone who tried to stand in her way.

He slept quietly and deeply on the pew, curled up facing the back. His day had been hectic, but thanks to the combined efforts of the Archbishop and Giovanni, though more so Giovanni, he had found himself retrieved without incident.

He had only been able to sleep so calmly because he was assured that Caterina was in the city, and would be there shortly. Somehow, having his sister near gave him the feeling that nothing bad would happen, despite that nothing had ever proved this assumption.

He shifted slightly, rolling over to his back and faced towards the ceiling.

She slipped quietly into the pew just behind his, head bowed as if in prayer. At the sound of his stirring, she leaned forward over the back of the pew in front of her, watching over him. If no one else but God had been watching, she might reach out and stroked the hair back from his forehead, but she was hesitant to disturb his rest. It was such a dreadful place for a young man who had rarely--if ever--been outside the Vatican.

Giovanni was always comfortable in the shadows; they had hidden him in their dark embrace for almost all his life, aiding his secretive movements and allowing him to complete unseen missions. The shadows were old friends ( ... )

Abel would at last only arrive after Caterina had entered. He'd found himself caught up, but he had finally managed to get himself free from the distractions to get to the church as soon as he could manage. The blond hair was the only thing that caught and held his attention as he tried to slip as quietly as possible into the church. He didn't wish to disturb anyone after all.

Instead, the priest more stayed towards the back, patiently and quietly waiting at the door. It seemed that Caterina had found the child Pope just fine. There was no need to come between them.

Let them have their time together.

Gaz had been watching everyone silently from her spot on the pew. She didn't feel like saying any more then she already had.

Then she heard the sound of a door opening and looked over the back of the pew towards the door. She recognized Father Abel almost immediately due to his various visits to the church. But she couldn't remember if she ever talked to him. Oh well.

She turned her attention back to the strange woman and the teenage pope, curious more then anything else now. Was this how families were supposed to act?
