The man in white crossed the dimly lit room like a ghost, with long strides that barely made a noise on the linoleum floors while his coat billowed after him. There was a quiet tinkling as he came to a stop and quietly set the small teacup on the coffee table, and when that was done he sat on one of the old sofas set around the table. His guest was awfully quiet, and with a smile he crossed one leg over another and entwined his fingers together.
"Drink up, Tsuzuki-san," he implored and waved hand as he did so for emphasis. "I understand today was a tiring day. Being a nurse is very tiring, is it not?"
His guest remained silent; it was an act of defiance, obviously, but one that only served to deliver the opposite of what was intended for it. Muraki laughed. His eyes narrowed and as the light from the candles set around the room reflected his glasses, they became unreadable. "Please, Tsuzuki-san. I doubt you would survive dehydration in your current state."
"I promised your friends that I would be taking care of you, after all. Do you want to disappoint them?"
