Rating: PG-13 for injured red echidnas and emo demons.
Summary: Cube runs into a certain echidna while hiding from his troubles on the rooftops of Discedo.
the log:
Alone. It wasn't a feeling he remembered feeling, at least for this long. Although he was surrounded by friendly people every day, deep inside he felt so very detached. He hadn't thought about what he was doing or how his actions were affecting others. Cube just couldn't concentrate all that well anymore. Was it stress? Lack in nourishment? Lack of sleep or a combination of it all? Never feeling so broken as he did now, he found himself stumbling over the sides of buildings, wanting to hide from those looking for him down below. He wanted to get away from everything and everyone. The steward wasn't completely sure why he was doing what he was doing in the first place. Was it the feeling of fear that grew within him every day? The fear of uselessness and failure?
The little demon looked about the hospital roof for a place to sit in solitude but instead, something caught his eye. It was bright red. He found himself curiously stepping closer, his eyes and mind not making the proper connections with one another to figure this thing out. Cautiously, he slipped his foot out from under himself and nudged the red lump with the tip of his boot. Whatever it was, it was kind of squishy... not as hard as it looked.
