Summary: Float, the first and only local music group, is having a little concert. Discedo takes whatever form of entertainment it can get.

It was a good evening of business for the Northern Lights. After all, Discedo's resident sitarist pulled a chair up into a corner and played for his supper over here pretty often, but it wasn't every night he dragged out the whole band for a proper gig
They were an odd assortment, to say the least, Linda leading them with microphone clutched hopefully, Ness situated with enough overturned plastic tubs of various sizes to fudge a decent percussion section...some acoustic strummers, Demyx and Johnny each with wildly differen tuning mode...and then the modest horn section Midvalley and Kazuki, Iroh rounding out the bottom on Tsungi horn.
Their sound was certainly....unique, something half-exotic and half familiar, not a combination one might hear anywhere outside of the make-do cultural mashpot Discedo was rounding out to be. Songs would start off a jaunty and simplistic little tune, almost as if it belonged in a jukebox soda shop (hence ice cream Float) Linda would belt her heart out, Demyx grinning on in approval and hiding a wince at some of her lyrical choices...
And then, just as it wound up short and sweet....the tone shifted, and the melody would warp into dream-like variations, something organic and percussive and improvisational, trading off duets and trios in something between psychedelic drum circle and lounge jazz.
A mix of amateur and experienced, they were rough and unpolished together, sometimes cutting into solos, occasionally thrown off...but the band seemed to be having the best time of all at it, lost in the music, making something bizarrely harmonious between them.
