FOURTH WALL HELL YEAAAAAH!

Two years is a hella long time,
so it's time to PARTY.
Fourth-wall style.
AWWWWWRIGHT.
The 16th will be Discedo's TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY ! And what better way to celebrate than to completely annihilate the 4th wall? The event will last two days to make sure everyone has time to post and tag and whatnot.
For those of you who don’t know, a 4th Wall Event is where you can respond to anyone’s journal entries (entries for the 16th and 17th of November ONLY, please) using whatever journal you want. Personal, character, dropped character, ANYTHING. Hell, you can tell characters they’re from books/games/movies whatever you want! Anything goes!
YOU CAN:
*** Use your personal journals.
*** Bring in character journals from other roleplays. That also includes any characters you may have dropped here that you wish to bring back. You can also make new journals, if that's what you really want. Crack characters will be welcome for the event, so long as they don't break the rules.
*** Invite your friends to do the same, even if they don’t play at Discedo. Someone can even put an ad up in RPS if they want!
YOU CANNOT:
*** Use it as an excuse to harass someone or comment on their characterization with ANY of your journals. If you have issues with players or characterization, you bring it to the mods. This goes for any visitors too.
***Treat this as game canon. Meaning the next day there's no, “wat the pupcat was that.” We're not a crack based game, and so, this is just for fun. This will all just be a dream to your characters.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE.... then don't post. Anything posted will undoubtedly get commented on with fourth wall smashing. If any of these rules are broken, then the mods will handle it - and yes, these rules go for visitors too! Please, don't hesitate to contact us if something goes out of hand.
This event will be happening on the 16th and the 17th of November. However, though it'll be two days long, we also have a few rules to implement. You might not like it, but them's the breaks.
1. Considering how big Discedo has gotten, we're going to have to ask that PEOPLE LIMIT THEIR CHARACTER'S UPDATES TO ONE EACH FOR THE EVENT'S DURATION. So that means one entry per character of yours over two days. It may suck for some people, but the community is going to get a lot of posts as it is. We want everyone who wishes to participate to have a fair go, and by putting in this limit, we hope that this will be a little more possible.
2. On the same vein-- this is less of a “rule” and more of a request. Please try and include as many people as you can, even if you aren't familiar with their canons. We understand that large events can be really hard to follow at times, but try and get other people involved too. If too many people feel left out, then it's less likely that we'll hold these again-- fourth walls are just for fun, and if people who want to participate can't, then it's no fun for them at all.
3. STAY IC. This IS NOT an excuse to go OOC. You’re still playing your character. Additionally, please follow the rules of the game even for this event. No godmodding or general douchebaggery, please!
4. Lastly, logs in discedo_logs obviously aren't possible, but you're welcome to do comment logs/action spam/whatever you crazy kids wanna call it with people who come in if you wish.
People CAN notice the two day gap in their memories after the event has finished, but why it's there isn't obvious at all. Accordingly, if they think of the event as a “dream” like they were able to last time, then all they will remember is the increase in the city's population. Nothing specific, sorry. But via dream is the only way that they'll remember the event.
The event will be starting on November 16th and runs through November 17th. We'll make a post when the whole event is over and one of the Scientists will kick it off at the start, so be on the lookout for that.
