Ladies and gentlemen, once again it's the 10th of the month. Normally, I would be starting the Activity Check today, but this month? That's not going to be the case. We think it's time we change things up a bit, so we're trying something new with the AC this month

Just so I'm sure I understand... the AC requirements will be 1 post and 2 outside threads per month? Or 1 post and 1 outside thread?

Just one of each! The post can be from any time during the month, and the thread will need to be from the past two weeks of the month.

Okay, thanks. I like that you're limiting the time of a hiatus to a month, unless otherwise arranged.

And just one other thing! Is there still a two-strikes-you're-out rule? From the paragraph explaining the check-in system, it seems like it's moving to just one strike.

Thanks! People will still be able to extend a hiatus though, if they talk to us or check in sometime during the hiatus period. We simply want to avoid people hiatusing indefinitely and never coming back, since their character could potentially never be apped again if the hiatus has no deadline.

I think the check-in system eliminates the need for the two-strike rule (er, three-strike, rather), since anyone who doesn't check in will be removed from the list at the end of the AC. If we notice that people are waiting until the week of the AC to rush to fill their requirements repeatedly, we'll be having a talk with them. Otherwise, for now the strike-rule is basically obsolete. :)

What if you have been tagging around but none of the threads reaches 20 comments long?

We will need to talk about that as a group, and talk to you about the reason why. However, keep in mind that commentlog/actionspam threads do count for the requirement, as well, so if your character isn't chatty, that's also an option.

If that does happen (difficulty reaching the tag requirement, that is), please don't hesitate to poke us on AIM or something about having trouble. We'll be able to work together to come up with a solution to the problem.

It's 20 comments total, meaning 10 comments for each character. Again, if you do have trouble hitting the requirement, talk to us so we can help you get there!

Probably not...it'll have to be discussed on an individual basis, honestly. We would need to know why you're having trouble with threads as well, especially since the thread requirement includes action/commentlogs and the logs community. That's why I said, talk to us if you end up having trouble hitting the requirement.
