It seemed like everyone had a lot on their minds lately. At least Japan had found a bit of comfort in calling Marco to chat when he felt so inclined, but recently that had become... Well. Marco would be on his way here. And he should sort some things out on his own, right?
He had been wondering about the prison camp for quite some time. Hearing a few things, missing a lot of details-- it seemed odd. So he had been planning on stepping inside on his own. But that strange feeling had caught him just outside, which is why he was just standing there, arms crossed and staring at the building as Seifer came down the road. This was silly, Discedo always played this game-- or maybe Fortuna as a whole...
He turned at the footsteps and blinked, moving to bow. "Ah... Seifer? Visiting again?"
Japan gets quiet as he turns to view the figure. ...Brother. His face gets a more distant look, but he doesn't look away from it. "Natural, perhaps..." But healthy?
... He looks to Seifer. Natural. "I am not sure." A pause, and he looks away and back to the figure. "...I would not know."
He was quiet for a time. There were certainly other ghostly deaths of people he knew, but this one got to him like nothing else for some reason. He could see it in his sleep by this point. Doubtless questionable, but who was he to care for validation. The silence dragged.
"I know." At least in this moment he can keep his thoughts behind his eyes. He faces Seifer again. Even without connection to the person dying, it wasn't a pleasant thing to watch...
"But you cannot continue to come here, either. ...Right?" Or he was hoping so.
"Ah..." He blinks a few times at that, but doesn't hesitate to listen, stepping back and then out of the room. ...And he will just step down the hallway a bit and turn back to wait.
Seifer cast a meteor spell. A waste of a high level spell? Surely. But he found he didn't care too much, backing up towards the door as rocks ripped through the ceiling, tearing it apart until it began to crumble down. When staying wasn't a viable option anymore he stepped outside, closing the door after one last look.
A pause and he turned down the hall walking towards Japan. That took care of that. He was done in this place.
"So what're you really doin' here? Little outta the way for idle curiosity."
After Japan gave a long stare at that room, he turned to Seifer with a sigh. Right... "Keeping myself busy." Because after all, he said it last time... He was always fine if he was busy. ... It was something like that anyway.
He folded his arms and glanced off to the side. "I finished what I have been working on," that being Marco's jacket, "and I did not want to bother anyone. It seems that idle walks get myself into trouble, so a specified location like this was... ah, away."
Japan doesn't seem to understand quite what's going on here. On the basic level or deeper. Card games... Why card games... He had wanted to look around here, but this strange feeling, and what he had already seen--... Excuses and reasons just sort of took their place as he followed.
"I suppose that sounds like something America-san would enjoy..." Trailing off. Was this being recommended, or just idle conversation... Wow Japan you're so dense sometimes.
He just makes a defensive face. "...He seems the type to enjoy such games. I simply comment because I could make money marketing in that way... Perhaps at a later date."

"You know I can't go to Accido."
Not now.

He held up a hand and light burst out around him.
"I wouldn't stay in this room if I were you."

The observatory was out of the question.

"You need some new hobbies. You ever played Triple Triad?"

He frowned a bit uneasily, but he didn't say anything, glancing back away after Seifer let go. "...Ah, I have not. Is it a game Seifer enjoys?"
Reply
"It's something to pass the time."
He started for the stairs.

"I see..." Japan continued along to the stairs. "What is it?"
Reply
"It's a card game. Usually played with a different deck, but you can play it with normal cards."

"America."
Honestly. HONESTLY... Shaking his head he just continued up to the next floor.
