ignore the fact that this is days late... asideglance May 25 2011, 23:27:52 UTC
After spending a decent amount of time thinking on his own (probably 90% irritation with America, 8% amusement by Gakupo, 2% other, yes do you like my stats here), Japan decided to head on over to the park. He had been sparring with almost everyone else in the city, so why not? To be honest, he was curious about Seifer's level since their last fight. That seemed so long ago, now...

But he brushed away his old man thoughts as he came to a stop. "Are you enjoying your time?" Seifer had sure looked all pumped for fights. Fighting spirit! That was good, of course.

Seifer turned at the sound of Japan's voice with a bit of a smile. "Heh... it's alright. Interstin'. What're you doin' here?"

Japan hadn't been who he'd been expecting to see certainly. Still he gave the country a salute with his blade.

yes pretty much asideglance May 26 2011, 03:35:51 UTC
A salute, how cute. Japan just idly returns that with his hand, adding a small bow. "I assumed the invitation was extended to me, as well."

He can't hide a small smile as his saluting hand moves to rest on the hilt of his sword. He wasn't the same Japan that hesitated to fight so much on that rooftop. He knew Seifer wasn't the same guy, either. So maybe he was a bit excited. But he never was one to like showing that (in battle that is...), so he'll just stand there calmly as if waiting for confirmation that it's okay.

I see... postasskicking May 29 2011, 23:52:21 UTC
"Did you?"

He shifts, working his shoulder, before taking his stance. He's fought quite a few people by now and he knows he can't beat Japan with a sword alone. But that's no reason to back down now is it.

"Come at me Japan."

He waited for Seifer, no real rush about him as he unsheathed his sword in one smooth motion. Come at him? He didn't need to be asked twice. With all of the different fights he'd experienced in the city, he was more willing to try or add methods that weren't usually in his style of fighting.

For example, rushing at Seifer, he starts with a jump, his arm pulled back before swinging for a wider strike. Regardless of what happens with that move, he'll step sideways and stab his katana towards Seifer.

Seifer blocks that first strike, though if Japan was hoping to get somewhere he's plain out of luck as Seifer turns with him, changing his block into a parry. He doesn't go after Japan though, instead disengaging and retreating.

He raises his hand. Again.

Hmm. If this were something he was thinking back on as a memory, he might have smiled. But in the moment like this, his face grew a bit more focused. Alright. Again. He rushes in again, sticking to the ground this time but swinging his sword up towards Seifer's face. He'll drop down for a kick at Seifer's legs if he gets the chance.

That chance won't be coming. Seifer bats that sword aside and immediately returns the favor. Unless you want a scar Japan I'd retreat.

Rather than jump back, Japan sort of spins or side steps out of the way around him, pulling his sword back in control with a swing at Seifer's back.

I don't have all my faito icons on here... I'm too lazy to upload them atm though postasskicking May 30 2011, 01:09:24 UTC
Seifer ducks, Japan's not that much shorter than Squall that this isn't something he's used to. Not waiting he moves to elbow the country in the upper torso. Not stomach cause he doesn't want Japan throwing up on him no thank you ffff.

lololol I will just picture that cool scene you linked the other day... asideglance May 30 2011, 01:20:25 UTC
That is a good reason to not punch anyone in the stomach LOL. Anyway that hits and he instinctively doubles over a bit and grabs his torso with his left hand, swinging his sword at Seifer's knees in the same instant. Even fighting with plenty of people in the city hadn't let him go 'all out' as often as he would have liked... He could still try harder! He could always try harder...

LOL! postasskicking May 30 2011, 01:48:01 UTC
Seifer didn't back away. Instead he moves in to grab the wrist of Japan's sword hand; there's no room for maneuvering here, he won't let that blade cut him.

"I thought you could do better."

The words are a quiet whisper in Japan's ear. Well? Japan?

everytime seifer gets off the ground I will imagine it in that way asideglance May 30 2011, 01:54:35 UTC
Seifer, always the one to bring out the most of this side of Japan... He struggles to try and move that arm out of that grip. But it isn't working, and Seifer's words cause a quick flash of anger. He doesn't know the half of what I can do...

It's all only a brief hesitation, and then he's using his free hand to punch at Seifer's stomach with quite a bit of force.

LOL WOW you are just jealous Japan cannot be half as stylish postasskicking May 30 2011, 02:10:42 UTC
That connects and Seifer has to double over to dry heave. CONGRATS JAPAN. He doesn't drop his blade though. Whatever might come... he knows better now than to drop his weapon.

at least japan has good fashion sense!!! this is obviously a key skill in life!!! asideglance May 30 2011, 02:18:26 UTC
Japan doesn't miss a beat, pulling his arm with the sword back and spinning to kick at Seifer's legs.

Seifer swings the flat of his blade at Japan's leg. Not yet...
