Japan had been with Ace when he fell asleep, in an apartment room on the second floor or so. Needless to say, he was shocked to awaken to the high school. Had someone moved him? He didn't even notice the strange drawing on his face, instead sitting up and glancing around.

Still chipless, still Discedo. It was weird how he was relieved.

Feel free to catch him as he wakes up, or wandering around looking for his friends. Also I will be slow, yes I can say this in narration.

Marco's nearby, but his face has been completely doodled on by Luffy and he looks hideously ridiculous. "Yo, Japan," holds up a hand in greeting seeing the dark-haired man nearby.

It's okay, Marco. Japan's face is drawn on too. Also courtesy of Luffy. But the glance over ends in a startled expression.

"M-marco-san... greetings." Really, he's wondering what that is on your face.

And Marco is using every ounce of his powers of deadpan to keep from bursting out laughing all over again. "You too, mate. Good to see Rika was right about us all getting out by dying, eh." Not that he'd had any doubts or he'd have been far more protective of Ace, but still. And even Marco's deadpan mask is slipping into a bit of a suppressed smirk now, because ffft.

The smirking only confuses Japan further. Maybe Marco realizes what's on his face? Is it intentional? Why? Well... foreigners were strange sometimes, so perhaps it was like that... Oh, but he was being spoken to.

"Indeed. Though with the way I left, I was satisfied..."

"Oh yeah?" Marco arched an eyebrow, the amusement at the drawings successfully suppressed for now. "Sorry I missed it, was a little busy going down with Ace. What happened?"

"If the term "seppuku" is not known, then simply consider it as an honorable death." There wasn't much else to say. And it was somehow a bit personal...

"I know what seppuku is," Marco bowed his head in quiet reverence. "Painful way to go. Ace didn't want to watch me burn up though." Not that he could blame him given the way Ace initially died in their world.

"I had a second," he stated calmly, crossing his arms. Suddenly he didn't really care what was on anyone's face. "Ace-kun did not? That makes sense..."

Marco shrugged. Phoenixes rebirth in flames and ashes, it still made sense to him. Still, if anyone would know how painful it was, it was Ace and Marco trusted Ace to give them both a decent send-off. "Fun while it lasted, eh." And just to make sure that he could, Marco covered his arm in fiery blue flames and sparkles.

"It was certainly interesting." Yes I must use these icons as much as possible. Anyway, he brings a hand to his chin thoughtfully. It probably doesn't help the drawings. Oh well. "Is everyone safe?" He glances around at the others waking.

"I believe so," nodded Marco. "Looks like Luffy and the others brought us to safe places in case of something happening, but other than boredom, not much did. Oh, and while I have you a moment alone, before Ace wakes up. You think you could draw Ace in that maid costume?" What the hell was tact and good timing for a pirate? Besides this was urgent...ish. And since Marco was going to let Ace burn his current stash of pics, at least he'd have a backup waiting in the wings.

"E-eh?!" All attention focused on the last question, and he looked around hesitantly. "I do not mind taking requests, but is Marco-san sure such a thing is a good idea?"

"Sure, why not?" Marco quickly returned, not even bothering to being abashed by this in any way, shape or form.

He does another glance around before reaching his hand out. "If Marco-san lends me his communicator, I can enter it privately there."

Marco just grinned ear to ear as he reached into his pockets. Although, wouldn't this be a problem if he had it now before he showed Ace the rest? Ah whatever, far be it from Marco to pass up a golden opportunity. He handed the communicator over.
