I am feeling happy right now! And, I mean, I was pouring free hand so there's no way to know for sure, but it is possible, possible, that I am a little tipsy. Hiiiiiiiiiiii.

I handed in my final assignment (worth 50%, eeep!) for one class, so now it's 1.5 down, 4 to go. Whoohoo! I went to brunch with queen_geek, which was SUPER TASTY but also somehow ( Read more... )

That's how it goes with bakers! You cook it but you don't get to eat it.

The dad who tries too hard totally made me laugh in the first episode, but I could see that it might get annoying over time, idk.

I'm kinda scared right now, I will no lie. My apartment is VERY DARK. But, I like the cop lady!

I am happy! :D

Funny coincidence, I am also a little tipsy right now! That Argento wine never stops being good to me.

Remember that sick fruity stuff we got? I accidentally left it in the freezer and had to retrieve it the next morning. I drank it to night. Not too bad if you drink quickly, ;)

THUMBS UP!

I want to bake something. What am I going to bake? I could make those pb mini-muffins, or pb cookies, or chocolate mini-cupcakes with vanilla frosting, or something with apples, or...

one year, my clients, who were a recent immigrant family from east africa, received an xmas hamper/toys for tots kind of thing. the little boy, who was 7 got an easy bake oven. the mother called me in a panic and had me come over because they couldn't figure out wtf they were supposed to do with it. i explained it and the mother and kid looked really suspicious. 'you mean to say that people cook tiny cakes with a lightbulb on purpose.' i feel this did not do much to change her opinion that all north americans are mental.

well, they were a family of 8 who up until 3 years ago had lived in a mud hut and their one cooking pot was a hubcap. I think they were baffled about a lot of things. I had to teach the parents how to grocery shop and they were terrified of the metro, they wanted to know if that's where our king lived. I traded the easy bake in for a soccer ball and some baseball gear, the kid seemed way less frightened of that.

I loved my Easy Bake Oven! Sort of tempted to dig it out of the attic now, I definitely can't cook with a big-girl stove... :D My sister and I had that Creepy Crawlies thing, it was awesome! I remember we mostly just used to throw them at each other.

HP fic - have you read Helen's Theft of Assets yet? It's pretty much the first HP I've read in a couple of years, but it was excellent

THAT STORY WAS MOTHERTRUCKING AMAZING. I know! And then I had to go through and re-read her other stuff too (I love A Quaint Notion!), and start going through my old bookmarks... I think I might just re-read the entire Lust Over Pendle series, that'll keep me busy for a while until there are new bandom epics for me to devour.

She is such an amazing writer. I really dig how unique her stuff is. You know, Lust Over Pendle was one of the classics (possibly the only one!) that I never got into. For no reason, I just tried to read it and couldn't ever finish. I've heard that it's totes amazing though, so I really should try again.

V! I am watching V, although I haven't seen the fourth episode yet because of holidays. And review of Yuletide source, which is ongoing.

But V! I'm loving it.

I watched all four last night, \o/ I think that it's the kind of show that's best (for me) if I just watch in large chunks because I don't know how well I'll be able to maintain interest in it. Cliffhangers tend to just annoy me and then I almost don't even want to watch anymore because I know that another cliffhanger is on the way. That's how I felt about older seasons of 24.
