One Photoshop trick coming up!

I posted this over at immune the other day, and though you guys would appreciate this here. So.....here's a neat effect some crazy bastard and I came up with like four years ago. It really makes [almost] any photo awesome without doing much altering:

001. Duplicate the original layer
          002. Set the new layer to "Overlay"

I was going to make it shareable, but it inspired me to make a new LJ layout.

But as it's you, and you've shared so many wonderful graphics, how can I refuse? ;)

I use the overlay technique a lot, but I still haven't figured out how to desaturate a layer >.<

Help please?

it's this easy:
click on the layer. then press SHIFT+CTRL+U

Either do that or: Image > Adjustmetns > Desaturate!
