You remember telling yourself that it would rain the moment you saw the rain clouds just a few meters from your point of reference. You loved the rain - everyone knew that. It was like saying Atobe’s not ore-sama. But that’s a different thing altogether.
You watch the rain clouds move closer to each other, a bit hesitant yet still moving. You inch closer to the courts, moving away from the shelter that is the Hyotei tennis-bu regulars’ club room. You face the chilly breeze without fear and take a few more steps forward.
Somehow, you feel a bit uneasy staring at the rain clouds alone.
The first few drops of water land on the concrete you are standing on and you can’t help but smile as you raise you head to the sky.
You hear the swing of a racket and a bounce of a tennis ball. You see the faintest shade of blue and the shimmer of silver.
And the rain pours.
