Right at this moment, Roxas was sitting in the school library, attempting to forget some of his worries temporarily by flicking through some books.
He'd forgotten all about finding Jasmine thanks to the fire the morning he and Axel were meant to go see her, and now worry plagued him. How was she dealing with all of this? Why was Axel caught up in everything?
There really was too much to think about- it made his head spin.
Eventually, his feet lead him to the libary and the area where Roxas was. There, not meters from the other he paused. Uncertain and a little bit afraid of the repercussions that might, possibly happen. He'd be dragging Roxas into the mess - was he really willing to do that to someone who he barely knew?
.... He was, sadly. Not because he wanted to, but because Roxas had to be informed. A firm nod to help his resolve as he contined. It was for the best.
"Roxas?" It was softer than normal - if only because it was the library.
Even though he hadn't exactly heard the voice a lot, Roxas recognised it instantly as Ventus'. Looking up from his book, the boy smiled slightly.
It didn't quite reach his eyes, but he was trying. "Hey, Ven."
Ever since their first face to face meeting, Roxas had felt that weird, possible connection they'd theorised about- so the nickname slipped out easily and without thought.

Ventus didn't mind the nickname - almost everyone he knew called him Ven - baring Vanitas, but Ven figured his Other was being a jerk, and didn't really think much of it.
"Hey - I --"
For a brief moment, he froze, then forged on, tripping over his own words a bit. "I Need to tell you something. About my 'brother'."
