The bit about how "ah, how to say it, irresponsible" overseas staff are... I face-palmed. It's totally true. I mean, really it's just a cultural difference of how non-uptight we are, but at the same time, being super uptight and professional is also awesome. And sometimes that "lawl, it's so loud the speaker just kamekazi'd" attitude turns into a "it doesn't sound great, but, whatever" attitude :/

Yeah, but Japanese can be a bit stiff sometimes. I'm not saying he's not right with the speaker's case, though more then "it doesn't sound great but blah" I'd stick to the Kaoru's "it might hurt someone".

On the other hand their overseas view is so shallow, should it be any more it'd be bulging...

yeah I agree with Kaoru on this one. I stopped doing live sound cause it drives me nuts. Like when something isn't working right no one wants to do anything about it. They just throw it back in the road case, so that the next gig you have to figure out what's not working all over again.
