i just watched the director's cut of "donnie darko". wow, it kicks so much ass. i watched with christiane, who was seeing it for the first time. she's a little undecided but i'm sure she'll come to realize how much ass it kicks (see two sentences prior).

merg, but it's late now...ah well, the prices we must pay....

i'm glad i saw the unedited version...edited? whatever, the "original"first because then i could compare and contrast points. i found the bits that they added interesting although you are correct in saying that it made things a lot easier to understand. i think for some viewers that makes it more accesible and for the others there will always be the original.
