I've said it before, and I'll say it again ... Joe Kylman is a music trivia genius. That is why it pains me so to see him in such distraught conditions. I feel you, Joe, I feel you. I was just thinking the same thing today while driving and listening to that dispicably poor excuse for a music provider I have in my car. (i.e. - the car radio) Even good old classic rock stations just don't cut it for me anymore, unless I want to witness my gradual distate of overplayed good songs. Also, what happened to the stations that play strictly one genre? When did the entire radio listening public vote the switch to all mix-radio, which as it turns out only plays crappy POP all day long, with the occasional good song that decieves you into thinking you've reached a decent rock station? clearly, Joe, our generation has become radio lemmings. Tis a sad day, my friend. Tis a sad day for rockers.
I feel you Joe-buddy! I can't listen to one radio station for more than one or two songs anymore. I don't even know what my programmed stations are anymore. I just hit the seek button if I get sick of the crap that invades my driving quarters. However, I probably don't contribute to the seeking out of good bands. I usually like them when they are presented to me. Ever hear of Carbon Leaf? Straylight Run? Dispatch? Decent bands that I'd never heard of until my roommates introduced me to them. But just for the record and I know you'll probably disown me as a friend for saying it, but, Relient K rocks man! And I could listen Relient K radio all day long.
Hey Joe - I just gotta say RANT ON! I'm getting sick of always hearing the same crap on the radio all the time. I'm actually listening to some non-radio stuff right now. It's something my brother just sent me. The band is called ISIS. They are kind of a melodic metal band. Very long songs, just a little singing where the voice is more just another instrument than anything else. Not sure if it's something you'd like, but it's definitely not radio music and it's sweet.
