Olive didn't have any more classes until tomorrow morning, and while this was awesome and great prep for college and all, it was sort of...boring. Or at least it left her with a lot of time on her hands. And that was why she'd now completed three little sewing projects since last week, and was starting on another today ( Read more... )

Victor hadn't spent a lot of time with Olive that week, what with the demands of getting settled back into his routine and a tiny little freakout over Gert that saw him not being terribly social. But since he was up and about Thursday anyhow due to his two classes, he decided to go say hi to Olive.

A grin tugged at his mouth when he spotted Ally scampering into the hall. Some things hadn't changed.

"How's the puppy?" he asked from the doorway. "Is she extra hyper today, or is this sort of ... everyday hyper?"

"This is just puppy-hyper," Olive offered, glancing up from where she was lounging as Ally returned the ball to her. "I give it ten minutes before she passes out in a fit of exhaustion just as suddenly. Hi."

"Hi," Victor echoed, sitting down at the edge of Olive's bed. "See, now I wish I'd kept a puppy. I could do the hyper thing if they crash fast."

"It's less cute when she does this at three AM," Olive offered, but she was still smiling. "You could always build one, like Topher's."

Karolina was on her way back to the room from having had breakfast, and almost tripped over Ally when the puppy crossed her path in the doorway on an all-important ball-fetching mission.

She chuckled. "Look where you're going, silly."

[Some SP for the next couple of hours, plz deal with me.]

"Ally, don't knock over our roommate," Olive scolded, waving to Karolina. "It's bad manners."

She still hadn't said anything about what she'd found out in Malibu, no, and she wouldn't, but it did give her a sense of I-know-something-you-don't-know-I-know when she saw Karolina.

[no worries since I was just stolen away for lunch anyway!]

And poor Karolina still had no idea the cat was out of the bag, so to speak.

"I don't think a puppy understands manners," she said as she came in, sans any tripping over pets. "Maybe dog manners are different."

"She probably thinks this is very polite," Olive noted. "She's basically making your day better with her presence, right?"
