"You could wear flats," Sparkle said, in that sort of unconvinced and unimpressed tone that only Sparkle could use when faced with the prospect of swapping out Prada for flats. "Or you could put on the damn shoes and take a look at them in the mirror. Heels are hot, Olive. Only reason I'm not wearing them tonight is because I'd break my damn neck."

... That was possibly true? It was always difficult to tell, with Sparkle.

"I already know I won't," she said, slipping the shoes on and going to look in her full-length mirror. "I spent a month wearing them to school every day to make a stupid point." She turned a little, looking at her legs from multiple angles. "I bet you could rock 'em, too, though. It's not hard."

And they did look sort of amazing, she had to admit.

Sparkle smirked a little, raising an eyebrow as he gave her an up-and-down look. Yeah, if he was into that sort of thing, he'd probably be trying to tap it right now, he decided.

"Wore them for a day, that weekend all the guys wound up as girls," he admitted, shrugging. "Think I could come up with a point to prove, too? You don't want to wear 'em, I will."

Don't think he wouldn't, Olive.

"I'll wear them," Olive assured him. "If only to save them from being stretched out. And also because they look sort of hot, sure." She raised a brow. "And if you're gonna be all point-provey and wear heels, I have a dozen bustier tops you can borrow to go with them, but I'm not sure that's the direction you wanna veer for Homecoming."
