This does not go out to anyone specific, mind. It's just an observation I've had for a while now and with some developments both in football and tennis I just needed to vent a bit here in my own space.

P.S. Just wanted to say that I'm so excited that the Sergio/Iker fic is on top of your to-do list <33 No pressure though, I'll just be here waiting like a rabid dog patiently for it! :D

The issue is the schedule. It sucks that this end of the year is so full of withdrawals, and it really sucks that one area of the globe then suffers most for that. It shouldn't be that way, and they really do need to assess the toll the schedule takes on the players and reorganise. Also, why two major tournaments in Paris? And now in London? A little rearrangement is necessary, I think.

The schedule really needs to be fixed, I think if they value the fans here in Asia as much as they say they do, they should make a mandatory event here that's not during the end of the season. Shanghai Masters is a step forward but it still suffers from withdrawals like last year with Rafa and now this year with Roger.

Seriously, it pisses me off that some fans are in a situation like this. I know I'm so lucky to be in a position where I can go and watch my team every other week and although I can't really afford it, it's not impossible. (yet :p)
I mean, I don't really know what to say because I've never experienced anything like it but it must be horrible. And nowhere is less important- every team/player should make an effort to appreciate their fans and just because some of them live in countries that aren't so "on the map" or whatever, doesn't mean they matter any less. Sure, it's difficult to go everywhere but when they focus their attentions on the same sort of places every year, it must be really frustrating.
But then it's fans like you that are important. I've found that some overseas supporters of English teams are... a little bit... contrary? They just like to hear that their team won, you know? But you really want to be a part of it and stick by them even though they're not around. I admire that :)
But yes, people are dumb!
