Journey's End - The official reaction post

Okay, so I finally got around to writing this after watching the episode for the second time. Unlike the past twelve episodes, I had to skip through about 20 per cent of JE because it was already difficult to sit through it once, and I'm definitely not going to go through it again.

Anyway, this is probably a bit image-heavy, so I'm warning you now!

THAT'S WHERE IT ALL ENDED. IT DID.

MICKEYYYYYYYY. I've probably said this before I HAS LUFF FOAR MICKEY SMITH. Since S1 and I've missed him and then he came back and they let him be awesome and kiss his gun and *ten's voice* Mickeyyyyyyyy.

They just keep on twisting the Tosh!knife don't they? *misses Tosh like, woah*

Well, it took RTD 3 seasons to get nakie!Tennant.

The first DoctorDonna scene was so made of win and they need to stop having such good chemistry NAOZ because it makes me miss her moarr *cries*

MARTHA IN GERMANY. The german!Daleks made me LOL.

I love Dalek Caan because he fleeeeeeeeeewMICKEY/JACK. I MISSED YOUR INTERACTION SO MUCH BBZ. NEVAH LEAVE ME ( ... )

The Alt!Ten/Donna!Ten stuff was fantastic - not only did DT have Donna's mannerisms down pat, but CT had Ten's down pat too!

I want an icon of Ten, Martha, Jack, Donna and SJS with "Children of Time" on it... They're my OT5!

I must've replayed that scene like three times, it was just too funny!

Yes - I can't imagine many people who could've pulled that scene off, apart from those two actors!

Yes! *squishes them*

I agree, it should have stopped right after Jackie had said her bit. Well perhaps skip 10.5/Rose moment then go to Donna's fate which I am not too sure about...Yes I love Donna but to have killed her straight off would have been a cop out I think and I think the memory loss was crueler and if I must say a braver choice but I am not saying the neccessarily the correct choice. I am sure the Doctor could have done something else but what the hell, it was RTD's true last hurrah, I know he is doing the specials and stuff but it is his last series finale, he has to have his uber crack at the end.

I completely agree with you in all of this! It seemed slightly OOC of the Doctor to just give up and not try to save Donna!DoctorDonna, especially since it might mean that he'll have someone to spend almost-forever with, but eh, RTD does need his uber crack :\

Still hasn't sank completely. Too much to take in.

But I have to agree with you and most fans. This episode is a fine example of too many characters doing nothing. Seriously, did they all really have to be there? Did we have to have 2 1/2 Doctors?

I know right? I mean it was awesome to see Jackie again but really, what'd she end up doing?

10.5 was a slap in the face of forty years of Who history, but whatever, as long as he stays in the parallel universe then I can deal with that.
