How to get over a break up...

Oct 19, 2006 23:16

So, after much whining and bitching and all around, well, crying, I have realized that you know what, all in all, I'm glad Katie broke up with me. While I still do care about her and do worry about her, we were to opposite to work out in the end. So, while we will still be friends, I am hoping that she will eventually catch the man that will ( Read more... )

Sounds like I plan, I'll Im ya what I find out tomorrow. The place is really close by, it's literally right inbetween your place and mine. It's in the shopping center with the Eastern Floor and TIle place right over the I64 overpass heading toward my place.

I don't know about boxing, but I'll kick your ass if I can use my feet as well. Kurt and I have also taken to a regular gym regimen. It helps in times like these. You should join us sometime.

And you're always welcome to call me, head over, and play some Civ III or Battlefront. I think you need some Droid Destruction soon, buddy. This really sucks and I remember it all too well when it was me and my Katie. My fault too, that one, and the ill - fated one after that. Makes me glad I'm married and it's not likely to ever happen to me again. (Of course, if it does, and I get totally taken to the cleaners by my wife, I could legitimately say I had it worse than you. All that can happen to you now is you get a broken heart. I could end up with that and Alimony, and the loss of half my assets. A good reason we've agreed Divorce is just not an option) Doesn't mean I don't sympathize with both of you.

Hang tough, Rich. I'll be calling you.

You do realize that the part about me having it worse if I ever got divorced was a joke, right, and not my being shallow and stupid and trying to belittle your suffering, right? There's nothing worse than a broken heart, and we all know it. I was just trying to make a bad joke at my own expense.

Life's rotten ironies. renaissnce_man October 20 2006, 08:03:15 UTC
Oh, and you know the most ironic thing? I was going to call and ask you if you and Katie had plans Saturday night. My mother accidentally bought 8 tickets to a play instead of 2, and she was asking me if I knew anyone I could give them to. I am going to take my wife, because it has been forever since we went to the theater, and I was going to ask if you and Katie wanted to join us. Well, I guess I can scratch that to hell. Just one of those little ironies of life.

I definitely know how you feel... as you may recall, about a year ago David and I broke up. . . Though we didn't feel like telling anyone because it was a seriously hard thing for both of us to do. It is difficult, and no one should pretend it isnt. But sometimes the person you love just isnt the person for you, and you are better off without them. If you ever need to talk, my aim is starfaerie42. <3!
