When It Rains...

It pours... Quite literally!

About an hour ago a tree (or as it turns out the top half of a tree and some big branches on the way down) fell onto the power line that connects to our house. We didn't lose power because instead of the line snapping, it yanked about 4-5 feet of cabling (along with parts of the house) out of the wall.

The electrical company have reconnected the anchor bolt to the eave of the house and secured the wires.

The general contractor has looked at it and and went to get a temporary tarp to cover the side of the house to keep the water out while the insurance company determines coverage.

The electrical contractor has been out and looked are the wires and checked the voltage to verify the assessment of the electrical company.

Items that still need to be done:
-Actually put the temporary tarp up.
-Get a coverage ok from the insurance company.
-Get someone to actually do the repair.
-Do all the stuff that I did not get done as a result of the the days events. ::sigh::
