Knick-Knack-Kerouac, We're Going On the Road.

I've just finished On the Road in a blur of about three days, while sitting on my ass in my suburban home, which I felt is as great an homage as I could make in dedicating myself to such a staple, reflecting, if anything, the breakneck blur of three days in which he was supposed to have written it. "On the Road" definitely made me feel like I was taking Adderall.

"Jingo" is awesome. I've read that book more times than I can count, and I have no idea where my copy is :(

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay for more Aryneth! I can't believe you haven't written anything for it since...well, since you graduated? I'm glad you're working on it again.

Well...that bit about not having written anything is a little bit of a lie. I haven't written anything Arynethian since then. I've actually spit out two flash fictions about Communist China that made it into Temenos (thought I think only the online version?) and two new short stories, one which has gotten its first rejection letter and post-rejection edit (awww, little baby's growin' up) and one which is probably a really, really awful zombie story.

And that's actually not bad. I've actually sent things out, too. Most of them come back with a "thank you, but we're actually only publishing online now" letter, which is a whooooooole 'nother can of worms, ohemgee.

But, curse you, woman, for tempting me to post that last one, as I realize that the "right audience" I've been mulling after is probably the one here.

*babbles at*

Shhh. I don't get to writing babble nearly as much as I need to. Yes. Neeeeeeed.
