(Spoilery) Thoughts on The Social Network

I have a bit of a weakness for films and documentaries about corporate mendacity, but, like a true Sorkin fangirl, would pretty much go and see anything he writes. The Social Network, then, hit at least two of my buttons.

This. I've just seen it too and will probably post something short about it. But I won't be sorry if I never see another film in which (beautiful, sexy) women dance on tables in their underwear as shorthand for 'this is a bad place, but hey! It's a fun place'.

Once, maybe, I can swallow. Four, five times in the same film? That's not just making a point. That's sexist exploitative crap, right there.

I want to see the movie too but from what I'm reading about it, I'm getting the impression that it's quite repulsive and that I don't want to pay the people who made it money.

Curiously it's not up in the usual places.

Which is somewhat ironic, given that it's a film about one man's disregard for intellectual property.

ETA: Not that I have any problem watching ganked things.
