It's actually snowing here! People think it never stops snowing here in Canada but trust me... they're wrong. I think it's a good omen, though, that it's snowing so heavily on the first of December! A sign of good things to come...

For those who celebrate Christmas, what's your favorite Christmas carol?

I love most Christmas songs, especially since I ( Read more... )

I think my favorite tune is Carol of the Bells, especially by choruses with no music. IT'S FANTASTIC.

That's funny. =) My choir is doing that song this year, a cappella. I'm a soprano, too, so I get the fun part and the crazy dynamics! It's a difficult song, but very pretty when done right.

I love Lil' Saint Nick by The Beach Boys but that's not really a carol... :D♫

Christmas is not one of my holidays,but I enjoy the whole atmosphere of the season--and I usually volunteer to work so that those who do celebrate can be free to go home and be with family.
My absolute favorite--the one I must hear every year--is "Happy Xmas(War Is Over)" by John and Yoko. I finally got the chords so I can play it this year, especially if I can get some friends to sing the children's chorus behind me. The other I love, which is rather obscure, is a song that appeared in the movie "Toys" and was written by some of the members of the band Yes, called "At The Closing Of The Year" and was performed by Seal--the opening line is perfect: "If I cannot bring you comfort/Than at least I bring you hope"

I guess this probably isn't a good time to say that I hate snow.

BUUUT, as for my favourite carol, uhh... I couldn't tell you. XD I'd know it if I heard it, but I can't remember what it's called, or how it goes! D= I just remember singing it as a little kid in elementary school, and I really liked it. But I just can't remember it!! It makes me sad. ;_;

I love snow! Well, when I'm appropriately dressed, of course.

That's too bad about your Xmas song. =(

I keep reading that as "appropriately depressed", and, realizing that it's not, that makes me laugh.

Yeah. =(

Well, since we don't have carrols in our country and I don't know the american ones by name I'll tell you, I like the ones that goes fa-la-la-la-la etc. Snow sounds amazing, the cons of living on a tropical country is you never get to see it unless you're rich and able to leave the country haha.
