I don't see why the govt has to pay for prisoners to "reassign" their gender when other people not in prison scrimp and save all their lives for such operations.
As for the vote question, I'm still not able to vote yet, but I think financial stability/progress is rather important, unless the candidate comes forward with a really persuasive on another issue that will really affect the nation as a whole. But S'porean politics is a little wonky, probably not easily related to the American one.
We already pay for their other medical/dental/etc. If we stop paying for that, then I can see the argument about poor (and not-so-poor) people having to scrimp-and-save. But personally I would much rather it be a situation where whomever wants the surgery is able to get it, so long as they meet the SOC, whether they're a prisoner, a law-abiding citizen or other.
Hell no on the reassignment surgery... I have some veiws on that issue as a whole tho that tends to piss a lot of people off and gets me called a bigoted bitch sooo.....
Affirmitive action is 'tarded, and I get to vote for the first time this fall, so I'll see what influences me most 8D probably a combo of everything.
