Should I be concerned...?

Okay, so I tried googling this, but all I could find were other people's unreplied inquiries. Anyway, I don't want to overreact, since hypochondria runs in my family and I have this incredible fear that I'll end up like my mom and her mom and her mom and so on and so forth, so I figure it's probably best to get a few opinions from members of the ( Read more... )

Sounds like a pinched nerve! If you have insurance Van use it...although I'm one to talk! LOL!! Just go to the doc. They get paid to diagnose! :)

That could be it. I don't know, I might try for an appointment on either Friday or Monday (healthcare is provincial here, so I'm not covered in BC, but I do have student medical insurance, so I can go to the student clinic for free. Unfortunately, it's not open on weekends).

I wonder how the nerve might have got pinched, though. I can't remember doing anything to the hand recently. Hmmm...

Thanks Phoenix :)

It could definitely be a pinched nerve. I don't think you actually have to do anything to make it so. Could also be stress. Or the muscle/tendon just being twitchy.

I have something similar with my left eye/cheek. It twitches sometimes and I have been told it could be stress or fatigue.

You should go to the clinic. It's probably nothing and it would be good to have someone tell you that. Don't worry though.

Stress or fatigue would also explain it. University just started up again and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed :S

Yeah, I might try to make an appointment some time soonish if the problem persists. Thanks Gayl :)

I've had the same thing on my left hand, although it usually only happened once or twice not every ten minutes. The stress suggestion sounds very probable as now I think about it, it generally seemed to happen to me when I was typing up assignments!

I'm thinking it's probably the stress thing. It was pretty frequent in class and when I was doing my laundry this afternoon (the laundry room in my building has so many issues). I think I put up this post some time between loads, so it was fairly regular then. I haven't had a spasm in a few hours now, though :)
