I think Senior does love his son, he just doesn't know how to show it, and he's too self absorbed to think about others (aka, his son)'s feelings. Not an excuse, just an observation. (And a good enough excuse for whumped!Tony. *eg*)

Though honestly, Gibbs is at least as big a bastard as Senior is in this fic. Always making the decisions he thinks are best without caring about the fall out in regard to those around him. *shakes fist at him, too*

I need a happy fic now! I'm all sniffly inside! *sadface*

LMAO! so sorry to make all of you depressed, was inspired by my only holiday family troubles (luckily not my immeadiate family and nothing this bad) and the idea wouldn't leave me.

The reaction to it on here has prompted me to write a sequel which I will post on Christmas Day American time... hopefully the screaming hordes will leave me alone j/k. I will DEFINITELY try to make it a happier piece and I will let you all know when it is up.

Also the notes at the start were well deserved definitely don't know what I would have done without you! *hugs*

Sorry to hear about your own family woes. How come that the holidays (be it Christmas or Thanksgiving or whatever) seem to always bring out the worst in us? LOL!

YAY sequel! *g* Now, I'd be happy to have you post this as part of the advent calendar as well, if you like! *is sneakily trying to get more fic* In that case, I'd need it to be posted no later than the 24th though, since that's the calendar's last day, and the comm will "close" after one last post from me on Christmas Day. *ponders* And there are already four people posting on Christmas Eve. *ponders some more* We got three people on the 23rd, and "only" two from the 20th through the 22nd. *scratches head*

Now, of course you should feel perfectly free to just post the sequel in your own LJ and not make it an official part of the advent calendar, but again, if you'd like to make us all happy again after giving us lots of sadfaces *g*, lemme know and we'll figure something out. :)

I would definitely love to post the sequel to this for the advent calendar! I am not sure if I can makee it by the 20th but I could definitely have something by the 22nd which gives me until Wednesdy my time if you want to add me down for that day... I have done all of my christmas shopping until the 23rd/24th so I should definitely have time to do it.

I will try to make it happier and hopeful! didn't think everyone would have such a strong reaction lol! :D

Brilliantly written pain. I too would love a follow up to know where the story goes from here, but I also think this particular story has a completeness by itself. You really struck just the right levels of rational/irrational thought process of someone who is truly in emotional pain. Well done.
