Hello Dear Friends. Yes, I am actually writing (when I should be doing a million other things).  It occurs to me since I only use Twitter pretty much these days that I am missing most of the social conversations on line.  My husband helps me fill in the gaps with part of that ( Read more... )

How about candy? Like the mega-bags of Tootsie roll pops [and other candies]. The company makes the candy in Illinois. It's either hard candy or durable carmel. The big plastic bag o' stuff can be put in a suitcase without worrying about spoilage, melting or crushing.

I'm sure candy isn't the -first- idea to have as a souvenir, but it's a sweet idea. ^_^ And should cost less or around $5 for around 100-ish candies.

I was considering that, but I'm thinking that the headmaster is looking for more tangible materials. JellyBelly comes to mind.

Trouble with JellyBelly is that 'jellybean' candies can be crushed, or ruined by heat and warmth. They are a more fragile [and expensive] product. I -did- think of them, but discarded the idea - along with anything chocolate - for that reason. Tootsie products tend to be a more durable product that is harder to harm. ^_^ In general I'd suggest any hard sugar product.
