Pickles brought Axl into the room and was relieved to find a terrarium already there , taking up half a wall on the far end, complete with food and water bowls, heat rock, heat lamp, and hidey-logs,  and a less dark colorscheme in the room itself. There was a drumkit off to one side of the desk, which he'd tidied up and set his Elder-Self's papers ( Read more... )

"Well... kay then."

Miniver gives Pickles a face like ^_^ mouse! and slips out, leading to his/Draco's room. It's still green -- never did get around to repainting. There are books. Lots of books. Some wizarding knick-kncks on the shelves, a potions set, a cauldron, glass vials of stuff, which Miniver says he'll take later. Mostly he's got books and papers and that laptop Momiji gave him (which he doesn't know how to use for anything but word processing), and on the far end of the room a large leather satchel with rigid sides. Almost a briefcase with a shoulderstrap. Miniver puts it on carefully, making shushing sounds at the squabble that arises from within. Apparently, the bird lives here.

He gathers up a few more things -- there's not much clothing, a couple of very nice and very Victorian suits, a set of Wizarding robes...

"There's lots of bottles of stuff in the bathroom. You're welcome to whatever you want of it."

Oh, and... in the bottom drawer of the dresser, a selection of very interesting stuff collected from all ( ... )

Pickles notices the things that Miniver seems rather bashful about, and gets a lopsided smirk. There was a damn good chance that they'd have doubles on at least some of it.

He starts stacking the books, trying not to look around too much. He'd never been to the room, and eyed all of it critically if he spent too long actually paying attention to it.

Soon, he's got a good stack of books in his arms, and is on his way back to his room.

It takes him a few trips back and forth to get the books before he starts packing the smaller things, asking Miniver about certain things if he wasn't sure the poet would want them.

Really, it was a rather easy move, since they didn't have to move any furniture. And once everything was transported, Pickles took a short bathroom break, and then flopped down into a chair, looking the place over.

"I've had worse. Of course, those places ended up with me dumpin' all the furniture out of the window durin' a party."

Miniver fusses with finding places to put stuff. It may not stay there, but hey, he makes an effort to be neat -- even if the effort results in something like ordered chaos. The bird's "nest" gets hung on a spare corner someplace.

"I don't think window-dumping is necessary. Although you wonder why it doesn't happen more often. Hum. Maybe it does and nobody can see it. Like one of those magic things. Like how the cleaning people are always Somewhere Else. I think they're wherever deer go in the daytime." The Twilight Zone, perhaps.

Miniver gets eventually bored of fussing and comes over to flop in Pickles' lap.

"Oof." Came the reply of Pickles, entirely put on for effect. He wrapped his arm around Miniver and stole a kiss.

"Welcome to yer new home for at least the next two months." Pickles stubbed out his cigarette and used the now free hand to pet through Miniver's hair.

"I... really don't know how to feel about it, but I'm ready fer anything."

And also scared liekwo.

"It beats the big green place. Hey. Whatever other failings I got, I'm a good roommate, I promise."

Now how did that hand get under Pickles' shirt? >.>
